Continuous integration and application deployment with the Kubernetes technology

Poslední dobou by téměř každý chtěl své aplikace nasadit do Kubernetes. Jenže pro plné využití Kubernetes je třeba přijmout s otevřenou náručí postupy průběžné integrace (CI) a nasazení (CD). Je třeba CI/CD pipeline. Ale k dispozici je až zdrcující množství open-source nástrojů, kde každý pokrývá různé části celého procesu. Následující text vysvětlí základy technologií, kterých bude pro pipeline třeba. A následně shrne některé z populárních open-source nástrojů využívaných pro CI/CD. Z open-source nástrojů navrhneme pipeline. Závěrečné porovnání možných řešení (včetně proprietárních) poskytne čtenáři konkrétní tipy a rady ohledně vytváření vlastní pipeline.It seems nearly everyone would like to deploy to Kubernetes nowadays. To efficiently leverage the power of Kubernetes one must first fully embrace continuous integration (CI) and deployment (CD) practices. A CI/CD pipeline is needed. But there is an overwhelming amount of open-source tools that cover various parts of the whole process.The following text explains the basics of the underlying technologies needed for a pipeline deploying to Kubernetes. And subsequently summarizes some of the popular open-source tools used for CI/CD. Then it designs a working pipeline from the researched tools. Finally, it summarizes some of the possible pipelines (including proprietary) and provides the reader with specific bits of advice on how to implement a pipeline

Digital technologies - development of instructional materials for Grade 6-9 students

In 2023, a revision of the Czech national curriculum came into force. The main change was the replacement of the educational area "information and communi- cation technologies" with "computer science". The new curriculum was supported by new educational materials. However, few of these were devoted to the "digital technologies" part of the curriculum. In this thesis we have created new mate- rials that fill this gap. Specifically, we created four worksheets that explain the structure and principles of the Internet. The sheets can, for example, be handed out to students or printed as a poster. The validation of the didactic qualities of the sheets was carried out in two phases: individual interviews and classroom testing. During the first phase, we interviewed fifteen pupils (ISCED-2). The stu- dents first described what they saw using the think aloud method. Then they were questioned about information contained in the sheets. We used the transcripts of the pupils' interviews to improve the clarity of the materials. During the second phase, classroom testing was conducted by giving the finished sheets to a sample of 92 students (age 11-14) to study (20 minutes). We tested students' knowledge using pre and post tests. Statistical analysis of the results revealed a positive effect of studying the sheets on...V roce 2023 začala v České republice platit revize rámcového vzdělávacího programu. Hlavní změnou bylo nahrazení vzdělávací oblasti Informační a komu- nikační technologie oblastí Informatika. Nové učivo bylo podpořeno vytvořením mnoha vzdělávacích materiálů. Nejméně dostupných materiálů se ale věnovalo části "Digitální technologie". V této práci jsme vytvořili nové materiály, které tento nedostatek pomohly částečně vylepšit. Konkrétně jde o čtyři listy, které vysvětlují strukturu a principy fungování internetu. Listy lze například rozdat žákům nebo vytisknout jako plakát do třídy. Ověřování didaktických kvalit listů proběhlo ve dvou fázích: během individuálních rozhovorů a v rámci hromad- ného testování. Během tvorby jsme listy ukázali patnácti druhostupňovým žá- kům v rámci individuálního rozhovoru. Žáci nejprve pomocí metody think aloud popsali, co vidí. Pak byli dotazováni na informace obsažené v listech. Přepisy rozhovorů s žáky jsme využili k vylepšení srozumitelnosti materiálů. Při hro- madném testování jsme hotové listy rozdali k prostudování (20 minut) vzorku 92 žáků (11-14 let). Znalosti žáků jsme ověřili pomocí pre a post testů. Sta- tistická analýza výsledků odhalila pozitivní vliv prostudování listů na znalosti studentů (d = 0,5; p < 0,001). Materiály jsou v příloze práce. Diplomová práce Téma populární hudby v regionálním tisku současného karlovarského kraje v období let 1957 - 1967 se pokouší podchytit vývoj oficiálních názorů prezentovaných v oblastním tisku v období let 1957 - 1967 na území dnešního Karlovarského kraje na různé žánry moderní hudby, představované mainstreamovou taneční hudbou, která se později vyvinula v populární hudbu. K výzkumu bylo použito článků, recenzí i kritik k moderní hudbě zveřejněných v novinách karlovarské oblasti a specializovaných tiskovinách věnujících se především kulturním záležitostem v oblasti. Dále se jednalo především o jazz a rockovou hudbu, v Československu označovanou jako bigbít. V úvodu práce se pojednává o teoretických a metodologických otázkách vhodných pro dané téma a jejich možném využití. V další části se práce věnuje společenským a kulturním souvislostem v tehdejším Československu, vlivu ideologie na kulturu a zároveň uvolňování v umělecké tvorbě a ve společnosti v průběhu 60. let. Součástí druhé části je v rámci kontextualizace přehled poválečného oficiálního tisku, situace ohledně moderní hudby v karlovarském regionálním tisku v období 1948 - 1956 a také archivní dokumenty, jež mají vztah k tématu práce. Třetí část pojednává o vlastním tématu práce na základě analýzy tisku.The dissertation Topic of popular music in the local press of contemporary Karlovy Vary region in the period 1957 - 1967 attempts to capture the process of official views presented in the regional press between the years 1957 - 1967 in the territory of today's Karlovy Vary Region on various genres of modern music, represented by mainstream dance music which later evolved into popular music. Articles, reviews and critiques relevant to modern music published in newspapers in area of Karlovy Vary and specialist publications dedicated to particular cultural issues in the region was used for the research. Furthermore, it was primarily jazz and rock music in Czechoslovakia known as big beat (bigbít). The introduction deals with the theoretical and methodological issues appropriate to the topic and their possible use. The next part deals with the social and cultural context in Czechoslovakia at that time, the influence of ideology on culture and simultaneously on releasing in art and society during the 1960s. An overview of contextualization within postwar (World War II) official press, the situation regarding modern music in Karlovy Vary regional press in the period 1948 - 1956 and also archival documents that are related to the topic of work are mentioned in the second part. Generation of exact lengths by the use of optical comb

We present a method genaration of precise length using optical frequency comb stabilized to atomic reference clock. Optical frequency comb are able to tranfer the exact time stability from atomic clock reference to optical path measurement. We used Fabry-Perot cavity with ultra-low expansion material placed into the vacuum chamber. The exact length of Fabry-Perot cavity in vacuum is used as a reference for measurement of refractive index of ambient air

Evaluation of lenght of the Fabry-Perot cavity with ultra-low expansion spacer with optical frequency comb

The ultra-low expansion materials play a crucial role in laser stabilization and they are essential for laser stalibization. Blocks made from ultra-low expansion material are used as a base for precise interferometric measurements and in AFM microscopes. In our experiment we have monitored the free spectral range (FSR) changes and absolute length of a Fabry-Perot cavity (FPC) with a spacer made from an ultra-low expansion ceramics (Zerodur) with the expansion coefficient (CTE) of 2.8 • 10-8K-1. Experiment was carried out in the vacuum chamber at the pressure as low as 1 O'5 Pa. A fiber based femtosecond mode-locked laser with 100 MHz repetition frequency and central wavelength of 1550 nm was locked to a GPS disciplined crystal oscillator with a short term stability better than 10"12 and long term stability controlled by GPS clocks. An auxiliary tunable DFB laser diode was locked to a certain optical mode of the FPC. A beat-note signal from optical mixing between the laser and a stabilized femtosecond frequency comb is detected and processed. The absolute optical frequency of this mode is defined by saturation to acetylene cell. The FPC spacer of Zerodur material of 175 mm length was analyzed during the temperature cycling process from 22 - 35°C. Measured CTE of the spacer material was (0.069 ± 0.005) • 10-6K-1. Material exhibited hysteresis in the spacer length up to 8 nm during cycling process

Accounting, valuation and reporting of animals in the zoo in comparison with International Financial Reporting Standards

Předložená práce je zaměřena na problematiku účtování, oceňování a vykazování zvířat jak dle české účetní legislativy, tak mezinárodních standardů finančního výkaznictví. Po analyzování zmíněných systémů byla provedena jejich komparace a uvedení zjištěných výsledků shodných a rozdílných prvků účetních systémů v oblasti zvířat. Následně byly popsány metody účtování, oceňování a vykazování zvířat v Zoologické a botanické zahradě města Plzně. Na závěr práce byla vytvořena případová studie, ve které autor přeceňuje a přeúčtovává hospodářská zvířata ze statku Lüftnerka z oběžných aktiv do dlouhodobého majetku.ObhájenoThe presented thesis is focused on the issues of accounting, valuation and reporting of animals, both by the Czech legislation and international financial reporting standards. The comparison was implemented after analyzing those systems and the results of identical and different elements of accounting systems in the field of animal welfare were put. In consequence the thesis discusses the methods of accounting, valuation and reporting of animals in the ZOO and the Botanical Garden of the city Pilsen. At the conclusion of the thesis was created a case study in which the author overrated and changed the bookkeeping livestock from the farm Lüftnerka from the current assets to the fixed assets

A Proposition of Corporate Social Responsibility System Implementation in a Chosen Company

Cílem práce, jak již ze samotného názvu vyplývá, je návrh implementace systému společenské odpovědnosti do organizace Saint-Gobain Sekurit ČR, s. r. o. Teoretická část se obecně zabývá společenskou odpovědností firem se zaměřením na normu ISO 26000. Podle této normy bylo postupováno při tvorbě systému pro vybranou firmu. V praktické části je provedeno deset kroků implementace včetně zanalyzování vybraných činností, které firma vykonává s důrazem na ty, které jsou společensky odpovědné. Práce k těmto vykonávaným činnostem navrhuje další, které by byly ve shodě se systémem společenské odpovědnosti. Organizace by se mohla po dodržení aspektů této práce považovat za společensky odpovědnou.As its name suggests, the objective of the thesis is a proposition of corporate social responsibility system implementation in Saint-Gobain Sekurit ČR, s. r. o. The theoretical part generally concentrates on corporate social responsibility focusing on the norm ISO 26000. This norm was followed while creating the system for the chosen company. In the practical part, ten steps of implementation are performed, including an analysis of the chosen operations which are executed by the company with emphasis on socially responsible ones. In addition to the executed operations, the thesis proposes other operations that would be in correspondence with the social responsibility system. After following the aspects of the thesis, a company could consider itself socially responsible
